Another day, another healthy snack for my kids! Except they don’t know it’s healthy which is the best way to do it! I try not to buy any of the sugar filled frozen treats from the store when you can make your own healthy version at home for a fraction of the price! I always make tons of popsicles in the summer to keep in the freezer for when my kids need to cool down.
I made this recipe for the first time recently and it was a big hit. It’s always hard to get young kids to eat their leafy green, but with this I’m able to sneak in kale and no one has any idea! I do recommend making these when you’re kids aren’t around though so they don’t know what’s in them haha! I find once my kids know there is something “gross” like kale in their food, they refuse to eat it, even if before they knew they love it! Oh children.
Super Kale Pops Recipe
- 8 – 10 ounces 100% orange juice
- 1 1/2 cups baby kale
- 1 cup frozen berries
- 1/2 frozen banana
Blend orange juice and kale together until well blended. Blend rest of the ingredients until smooth. Pour into pop mold and freeze.
So easy and so good! Enjoy!
Bye for now,
Michelle
